ABOUT APPOINTMENTS
Northern Beaches GP Superclinic offers an appointment system for GPs practicing from the facility. You can make an appointment with your doctor or health professional by telephone or internet via this website. Walk-in consultations may also be possible on the day.
Urgent medical problems will always be dealt with promptly.
Appointments vary with each GP practice but are usually made at 15 minute intervals. When making your appointment, please advise staff if it is of an urgent nature or if you require extra time.
Tip: Monday is the busiest day for appointments so walk-in wait times to see your GP are sometimes longer than other days.
NEW PATIENTS
If you are a new patient please bring your Medicare card, Pension or Health Care Card.
It would also be appreciated if you can arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment so forms can be completed.
REMINDERS FOR APPOINTMENTS
As a complimentary service, Northern Beaches GP Superclinic provides courtesy SMS text reminders for appointments. If you wish to receive these text messages, please inform Reception Staff. Please be advised that while this is a complimentary service, patients are responsible for remembering their appointment times. An appointment card can also be issued to you.

FEES
Health practitioners each decide their own fees for their patients. Bulk-billing is generally available for GP patients with a current concession card or DVA card and children under 16 years except for weekends which are billed privately. All other patients pay their practitioner a private fee. Specific details of fees are available when you click "Book online" or at reception.
AFTER HOURS
For all emergencies please phone 000.
If you require attention outside normal opening hours you should attend as directed by your GP.
Alternatively, you may present to Urgent Care Clini, Thuringowa Drive, Kirwan; ED Mater Hospital (fee will be charged) or ED at Townsville University Hospital. With your permission, they will provide your GP with a summary of your consultation to keep your health record up-to-date.
COMMUNICATION
It is not always possible to talk with your Doctor over the phone, however our Registered Nurse is often available to assist patient's phone call queries. If necessary, you can also leave a message with reception and the Doctor will endeavour to return your call. Reports and letters from external specialists are scaned to your file and copies are shredded.
RECALLING PATIENTS
Patients will be recalled via telephone or letter as necessary to follow up on pathology, procedures, preventative care or appointments that may be required. Contact is made using information supplied. If personal contact details change at any time, is it important to notify us.
